This Is Not A Test….Well, Actually It Is

The Fourth of July is just a few days away and what better way to celebrate than to take a pop quiz. MSNBC had this citizenship test up on their website and consists of actual questions that might appear on a real citizenship test. Try it out and post your score.

For other July 4th (or 2nd) related fare, check out The Halls of History.

I royaly messed up three questions, that I will not share. I’m also a very lucky guesser on INS forms!

“You answered 85% of questions correctly. Here’s your rating:

85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)”

  2. Ando

I also am an excellent INS form guesser.

I forgot to post my score: 90%. I missed the voting ammendment one, and the last one when I switched from my original gut answer. Doh!

  3. MTonks

You answered 90% of questions correctly.

I to got lucky on the INS forms.

I missed #12. How many changes or amendments are there to the Constitution? 13 is not correct.

95% – on the first try, I missed the one about how many members of Congress there were (I was thinking merely the Senate, not the House too)… does that mean I win the Halls of History blog?

I’m very sad. I only scored 75% I might make a good citizen yet it says. Thanks Ando for lowering my self worth. I really appreciateit. BTW.. I updated today’s post considering your harsh criticism on the PIC blog. Check out #9 and my reasonings. I am so dejected I just might stay in Ecuador when we go next month

It is probably questionable to some if Christine and I should be citizen’s – but according to the test, we have potential!

  7. Anna

Josh don’t feel bad, I also only got 75%, the dates always mess me up, but I also am a good INS form guesser

0-20%: Maybe you’re still thinking too much about the Old Country — and that’s where you should probably be.

Guess I will go back to Mexico.
